Coolt bygge iaf, lite annorlunda

CHR-70.3 final cabs build thoughts
Hi fellow forumists!
I'm very satisfied with my CHR-70.3 in prototype MLTLs similar to the P10 halfTower. Now I'm planning to build final cabs and I'm not sure whether to integrate toe-in or not, and if, how much. Integrated toe-in makes the build less simple but not impossible.
For waveguide tweeters some say large toe-in is beneficial, for example http://www.diyaudio.rs/index.php?app=core&module=attach§ion=attach&attach_id=18616
Is this wave-guide-thinking also applicable to the CHR-70.3?
Regarding the vertical I guess it is a good idea to have axis at ear level and parallel to the horisontal plane - I'm I right?
My room is large with a quite lot of reflective hard surfaces. There's a large window between the speakers. I use no filters at all, except for the built in 12 dB/oct LP in the subwoofer. The speakers are up against the front wall, and I sit in a large sofa up against the rear wall.
Measurements indicate a peak around 45-50 Hz, and at 10 kHz. I don't feel a lot of the peak in the bass. If I listen straight on axis the upper mids feel a tiny bit hot. I can't hear anything above 13 kHz, so what ever's going on up there is no concern I assume.
I also feel the upper bass a bit recessed, might be my very shallow cabs, or maybe leaking through the large window? Or maybe I need to adjust the cab's lining?
I use a subwoofer to fill in below. Maybe I could lift the upper bass a bit by reducing cab size, and just let the sub reach a bit higher? (Edit: I have plugged the ports of my current cabs as I assume the rolloff then matches the 12 dB/oct LP in the subwoofer. But even with the ports open I feel some lack of power in the upper bass.)
Any advice or thoughts would be highly appreciated, thanks!
Cheers,
Johan
Ps. Any advice on treatment for the rear wall? It is approx 30-45 cm behind my ears. I've googled around but still not sure what to try for this short distance. High WAF is a concern No chance I get to move the sofa out from the wall.
