RG62 type coaxial-cable is semi air-insolated, shielded and has a solid core strand of wire. I don't know about the skin-effekt, but the wire is pretty thin so I don't think there will be any problems at audio frequencies whatsoever. I'm using them for interconnects with good results. Use high quality connectors because the RCA-standard is bad enough as it is.
