Hi a!

A*lso´ve (A*s in me, myself and A*) searched for good silverwire but since a friend is a gold-smith A* got
some A*g of him! Though, it´d be nice with allready insulated silverwire, since it´s tricky and time consuming
to Teflon-tube it yourself! The first A* found right of know was this and then the choice is between?
the .015 inch/ .38 mm ($54/25 feet) or the .025 inch/ .64 mm $87/25 feet) , which one do you think´d be
the best? Though not free it´s, compared to esoteric hificables, still cheap! Silver-RCA-connectors
A* know of is WBT´s new nextgen and Eichmann´s Silver Bullet Plugs

About silver RCA connectors...won't there be problems with oxidisation?

Hi M_M!

Well, A*int definitively no metallurgist but le@rnt that silver oxide has better electrical
conductivity than copper and furthermore´s a lot of the goldplating done on copper not
that excellent to begin with! A*lternetively you just polish your silver once a year (really royal!)

Mr_M (oops, starting to talk like A* :roll:

) forgot about the silver oxide's electrical conductivity which is indeed very good as opposed to copper oxide which furthermore does oxidise very quickly, therefore needing eg. gold plated connectors.
In other words...A* is right again

How come the gold plating usually ain't that good, I mean it's pretty easy to do, "elektrolys" (swenglish).

(Once A*gain, A*ll this is stricly internet-le@rned knowledge!;))

Because lots of times "they" cheap out on the goldplating´s thickness and if, then the gold-layer´s
very easy to damage and from there the copper underneath can oxidize, without any visual distinctive!
