Bernard Sumner and a pair of his New Order bandmates — specifically the two who weren’t also in Joy Division — performed at New York City’s Carnegie Hall on Tuesday night as part of the 24th annual Tibet House U.S. Benefit Concert, where they were joined onstage by Iggy Pop to perform Joy Division classics “Transmission” and “Love Will Tear Us Apart.”

Still och NOs singelsamling. Wow. Det är något fantastisk med Still. Den ör gjord innan skiva-in-a-Box galenskaper. Vilka låtar car det du spelade? Jag får bara upp skivorna med alla låtar när jag trycker på länkarna.

Oops! Funkade för mig men:
Still: Dead Souls
New Order Singles: Procession. En ofta bortglömd pärla.

Det här är nog bästa versionen av "Your silent face" som jag har hört.

Nå, hur är det? Är det en av världens 10-bästa låtar? Fullt möjligt att det är på set sättet.
No hearing or breathing
No movement, no colors
Just silence
CODY skrev:Videon till Perfect Kiss, mycket Gillian i början (TCM). Falsksång av Sumner. Alla nyduschade på på åttiotalsvis. Och vilken låt!

Playing with my pleasure zone
I stood there beside myself,
Thinking hard about the weather
Then came by a friend of mine
Suggested we go out together
Then I knew it from the start:
This friend of mine would fall apart
Pretending not to see his gun,
I said "let's go out and have some fun"
I know, you know, you believe in a land of love
I know, you know, we believe in a land of love
I have always thought about
Staying here and going out
Tonight I should have stayed at home,
Playing with my pleasure zone
He has always been so strange,
I'd often thought he was deranged
Pretending not to see his gun,
I said "let's go out and have some fun"
I know, you know, we believe in a land of love
I know, you know, we believe in a land of love
When you are alone at night
You search yourself for all the things
That you believe are right
If you give it all away
You throw away your only chance to be here today
Then a fight breaks out on your street
You lose another broken heart in a land of meat
My friend, he took his final breath
Now I know the perfect kiss is the kiss of death
Yes. It's funny, because I've been working on that track recently, and I sung it and thought, "I haven't a clue what this is about." "Perfect Kiss" was written in a mad session in the studio.
I'm friends with all of them now appart from Johnny Marr, because Bernard got him in the divorce

"Mike Byrne : Think it was in '79. I think it's the one Peter Hook describes in his Unknown Pleasures book. Ian Curtis was a big Burroughs fan and went up to him and tried to blag a book off him. Burroughs responded with "F*** off, kid" which apparently amused the rest of Joy Division."
God Jul på er alla
Sumner says Curtis' widow, Deborah, and daughter, Natalie, aren't "too keen" on the idea. "Obviously they're closest to it, so we have to abide by their wishes first."
He says he's "torn down the middle," citing the would-be museum's potential to be a proper tribute to Curtis. "But the other part of me is saying, it's a bit ghoulish and it's a bit of a monument to suicide."
He added: "To me, it's a place of sadness. It's not a place I'd want to go."
