Vad är AirPlay egentligen? Att man kan strömma musik till apparater har jag förstått, men är det någon form av sändare, eller vad? Är det en (1) produkt eller samlingsnamn för tex ingående AirPort?

Det går att strömma bild också. Som jag förstått det är det bara en standard
för hur ljud och bild ska överföras. Jag använder Airplay från min telefon när
jag strömmar YouTube-klipp med mera till min Boxee Box.

Största fördelen är väl att så många enheter har stöd för Airplay.

I want to clarify with you that Logitech certainly values its loyal Squeezebox customers, and all the current Squeezebox products on the market will continue to work exactly as they always have. Logitech has no plans to cut off service to existing devices.

You’re correct that the current mysqueezebox.com website will continue to work with existing Squeezebox devices, and the new uesmartradio.com website is strictly designed for Logitech UE Smart Radios, including those upgraded from a Squeezebox Radio (which all Squeezebox Radio owners will have the option to do in the coming months).

I’m Ariel, director of products for Logitech UE, and I’d like to take a moment to provide some additional explanation about our transition from Logitech Squeezebox to Logitech UE Smart Radio.

First, we want you to know that Logitech values you, and we will actively support the service in its current form, so you can continue to enjoy the Squeezebox experience you love.

All of you who own a Logitech Squeezebox Radio will have the option to upgrade to the Logitech UE Smart Radio platform, and take advantage of the new and improved software and mobile apps. This upgrade is completely optional, and those that don’t want to alter their Logitech Squeezebox experience will not be required to. If you are a mixed Squeezebox household, I wanted to make sure you knew that while the Logitech UE Smart Radio can play alongside existing Logitech Squeezebox products, it will operate and be controlled separately.

Also, we will continue to provide troubleshooting and support for Logitech Squeezebox users at http://www.logitech.com/support/speakers-audio. The current mysqueezebox.com website and Squeezebox Controller Mobile App will continue to work with existing Logitech Squeezebox devices. The new uesmartradio.com website and Logitech UE Smart Radio Controller App is designed for Logitech UE Smart Radios, as well as those who upgrade from a Logitech Squeezebox Radio.
