Online seminar on Op-amp
On Wednesday the 7th of November at 12.00 noon (MET) an Online Seminar will be held on the subject of Analogue Devices. It will provide an overview of the application of differential signals, their advantages, and will provide tips on their utilization. Suitable components such as differential amplifiers, instrumentation amplifiers and differential drivers and receivers will be discussed.

Jag snackade men en kompis igår som ville köpa en iPhone. Han hade hittat en i NY med operativet ver 1.1.1, till vilket det inte fanns ett "hack"´, så han köpte ingen. Väl hemkommen pratade han med sonen som glatt utbrast "Nu finns det ett hack till 1,1,1:an!!!!". Jo, och så fanns det en opensource telefon med Ubuntu - rudimentära programblock bara.

Idag kom nyheten om en telefon med öppen källkod med veckobrevet från Elektor:

As the illustration shows, ours arrived in the Elektor lab just in time for the photo.

This new SmartPhone comes to us from Taiwan, and is totally open source in terms of both hardware and software. This first version is aimed purely at developers, nerds, geeks, and other techies – it’s important to make this clear, otherwise you’ll suffer a disappointing ‘kernel panic’ immediately you press ‘on’. That’s just what happened to us, through not having read the manual first.

Wireless audio chips claim 'wired quality' sound

Avnera Corporation has announced wireless audio ICs for wireless speakers, microphones, headphones and headsets that deliver uncompressed CD-quality sound and claim to solve the interference problems typical of previous wireless audio solutions. The new chips – AudioMagic and VoiceMagic – use streaming transmission technology designed specifically for music, combined with six layers of interference protection to provide single-chip solutions at a lower system cost than competitive solutions, according to the company.

3-channel power regulator
AnalogicTech has introduced the AAT2504, an adjustable 3-channel regulator that combines a step-down converter with two low dropout linear regulators (LDOs). By offering a switching regulator and two LDOs on a single IC, the AAT2504 sub-PMU allows designers to add functionality to established platforms, such as Bluetooth capability to a Personal Navigation Device (PND) or HD radio capability to an MP3 player, and still take advantage of the cost, footprint and power savings of an integrated approach.
